Hi, I’m Shirlin (Chia-Ling), a Taiwanese multidisciplinary designer based in Queens, New York. I received my BFA in Design with honors from The School of Visual Arts and currently designing with Base Design in NYC. Previously, I’ve worked with amazing people at Athletics, Memo Productions. Outside of work, I’m a full-time cat mom, aspiring chef, and reluctant gym goer.

Through a new visual identity and strategic messaging, the goal of the new positioning was to convey a sense of belonging for visitors of all ages and backgrounds, to have them feel a sense of warmth, welcome, and inclusion in the museum’s communications, as well as see something new and surprising happening at MFA.

EDGE Publishing encourages, produces, and promotes thought-provoking and well-written science fiction and fantasy literature.

The custom logotype pulls the characteristics of books, classic sci-fi typefaces and spices it up with distinct edges. The typefaces, image treatments, and color were inspired by the project blue book.
